Helping you become a better developer.

I'm Pete. I've been working professionally as a software developer for 14+ years, and I created Developete to help people learn programming, build real skills, and figure out what actually matters when trying to become a developer.

What Developete is about

The questions tutorials don't always answer.

There are thousands of great tutorials that can teach you syntax, frameworks, and how to build things step by step.

But learning to code also comes with a lot of questions that aren't as easy to Google.

What should you learn next? When have you learned enough? What should you build? Are you actually ready for a job? And where does AI fit into all of this?

Those are the questions I spend a lot of time talking about on Developete.

If you're learning to code, trying to build without following a tutorial, preparing for your first developer job, or simply feeling overwhelmed by everything you're supposed to learn, you're in the right place.

A lot of what I share comes from things I've learned during 14+ years of working as a developer — including plenty of mistakes I made along the way.

Questions I focus on

  1. 01What should I learn?
  2. 02When should I move on?
  3. 03What should I build?
  4. 04Am I actually ready?
  5. 05How do professional developers approach this?
  6. 06How should I use AI without depending on it?
  7. 07How do I become employable?

I make videos about learning programming, building projects, becoming job-ready, using AI as a developer, and all the confusing parts in between.

If you're trying to become a better developer, there's probably something there for you.

Newsletter

One useful email for developers.

Every week, I share something that can help you learn, build, or think a little more clearly as a developer.

Sometimes it's something I've learned from years of working in software. Sometimes it's an idea from a recent video. Sometimes it's simply something I think more developers should know.

About

Hey, I'm Pete.

I've been working professionally as a developer for 14+ years.

I've worked on real products, been part of development teams, led developers, gone through interviews, made bad technical decisions, fixed plenty of bugs, learned new technologies, forgotten old ones, and spent more hours debugging things than I'd like to admit.

I started Developete because learning programming has become incredibly noisy.

There is always another language to learn, another framework to try, another roadmap to follow, and now another AI tool promising to change everything.

I don't want to teach you every technology.

I want to help you understand what matters, build the confidence to make your own decisions, and eventually become the kind of developer who can figure things out without needing someone to show you every step.

That's what I'm trying to do with Developete.
